Yamal’s father, Munir Nasrawi, has once again become the center of controversy from the outside world recently, but not because of his controversial remarks about his son, but because of his assassination on August 14, 2024.
A few weeks ago, Munir attended the hearing of the Third Court of Inquiry in Mataro as a defendant rather than a victim. The defense lawyer of the attacker Adria argued that his client took away the knife of Munir's friend and stabbed him in the chaos after being punched and breaking his nose.
The Western media "Pioneer" obtained the case file and learned that four witnesses provided testimony on the night of the crime, and their descriptions were consistent. The cause was that Adria's children were playing with water on the third floor, causing Munir to get wet while walking on Frank-Martha Street. Although the perpetrator was only a child, some members of Yamal's family got into an argument with each other and Munir was scratched on the neck.
Munir told the police: "This is too much. I was just walking and something was thrown at me. Either I find a good lawyer to solve it, or we solve it ourselves." Afterwards, the two parties met in a parking lot to resolve the dispute, where a stabbing incident occurred.
A man who was parking the car at the scene witnessed the entire process and revealed that Munir and his partner carried a retractable self-defense knife and a large stone from the beginning. The witness said: "When Munir ran away, the knifeman followed and stabbed him. The knife pierced his chest and ribs two or three times."
This witness's description is consistent with other people's statements. According to the "Pioneer", the testimonies were all collected on the same night, and there is no possibility of collusion. Adria, who was released on bail after being found guilty in December, still insists he and his companions were victims. Journalist Maika Navarro said in an interview with RAC1 that none of the people involved had any previous criminal records.
