According to the joint article by The Athletic reporters Sam Amick, Jon Krawczynski and Kelly Iko, talking about Durant's transaction.

36-year-old Durant has one year left in the contract and his salary is about $54.71 million! Three reporters said that as we all know, Durant is eager to renew his contract early and sign a contract with a total price of more than $100 million in two years.

At present, Durant has been rumored to have trade scandals with the Timberwolves, Rockets, Heat, Spurs, Raptors and Knicks.

According to ESPN salary expert Bobby Marks, a previous report, but due to the 38-year-old rule, Durant can only sign for two years this summer. If Durant stays in the Suns, he can renew a two-year, $124 million contract; if he is traded by the Suns, he can renew a two-year, $111 million contract with the new team (similar to the situation between Butler and the Warriors); and six months after the transaction, Durant is eligible to sign a two-year, $124 million contract extension.
