According to the "Corriere dello Sport" report, the meeting between the Rome Municipal Government and the Roma Club on the new stadium project made positive progress.

Rome Club has been promoting plans to build a new stadium for many years, but has been unable to obtain approval from the city government. However, in order to host the 2032 European Cup, Italy has relaxed domestic approval for the construction of new stadiums. Previously, the Milan city government had approved the plan for Milan and Inter Milan to jointly build a new stadium. This week Roma Club and the City of Rome held special talks at the City Hall to discuss the project to build a new stadium in Rome's Pietra Latta area.

After this meeting, the Rome Municipal Government issued a statement saying: "Regarding the construction of a new stadium in Pietra Rata, a meeting was held today at the City Hall, coordinated by General Manager Albino Ruberti, and attended by assessors and technical staff from the urban planning, transportation, public works, Rome City Assets Department, as well as representatives from the Roma Club. This meeting is aimed at coordinating the final administrative aspects. The statement continued: "The meeting lasted for an hour and a half, and the atmosphere was very positive, and we confirmed our common goal of completing the submission of the final project for the new stadium before the end of this year. The subsequent administrative procedures will be completed by the end of July 2026, so that the new stadium can apply to host the 2032 European Cup."
