Not long ago, Zelinsky's father was interviewed by Sportowe Fakty WP, talking about Lewandowski's re-appointment as the Polish team captain and his son Zelinsky was demoted to deputy captain.
He said: "Zelinsky was in a rather awkward situation, but it was not his fault. Obviously, he did not object to the decision."
"My son had already talked with the coach and they quickly reached an understanding. Zelinsky did not cause trouble, nor did he cry; my son faced the problem calmly. He was still the vice captain, which was also an important identity."
