The Spanish Football Association announced the schedule for the 25/26 La Liga and Serie A.S. The opening match will start on the weekend on August 17, and the final match will be on the weekend on May 24.
Since the 2019/20 season, La Liga has been using an asymmetric free schedule, which means that the match schedules for each round are different. The main purpose of this model is to better meet various factors such as security, European schedule, club needs, venue construction, holidays, and large-scale events, so as to maximize the number of viewers on site and TV broadcast ratings.
Spanish Second Division upgrade play-off time: June 7 to June 21, 2026.
