In 2022, 14-year-old Lennart Karl joined the Bayern youth training camp. Today, the 17-year-old has made tremendous progress. In October this year, he became the youngest Champions League scorer in Bayern's history. Subsequently, he scored against Borussia Monchengladbach and became the third youngest Bundesliga scorer in Bayern's history. Within Germany, Karl has already been compared to Messi.
In an interview with Sky Sports Germany, Karl said: "That's what others said. I can't compare myself to Messi. Messi is a top player, and I still have a long way to go. He is my idol."
