In the 10th round of Serie A this morning, Milan defeated Roma 1-0 at home. Milan defender Gabbia was interviewed after the game.
Towards the end of the game, you had the San Siro fans cheering for the team...
The fans were really great in that respect and very supportive as always. They played a big role in helping us win this game. We are lucky to be able to play in front of these fans and we have to cherish them and enjoy it to the fullest.
Does this victory mean the beginning of a new cycle?
Well, I don’t know. We have to stay awake, of course we have to be ambitious and these points will bring motivation, but we also have to stay calm because it is only three points, like the three points we might get next weekend. As the coach said, the most important thing is to stay awake and calm to analyze the game and train hard every day with enthusiasm.
What has Coach Allegri brought to you?
He has brought us a lot. From a technical point of view, he taught us a lot of knowledge and possibilities, he was very well prepared for the game, and everyone in the coaching team deserves credit, each of them played an important role. He also remains sober, calm and down to earth at all times.
What do you think of Leo and Maignan?
I'm happy that some teammates stayed, we are really a healthy team. Not only are they great players, they are great people. The same goes for the new players coming in - a credit to our directors, they are all good players and people of integrity.
