According to "Daily Sports", Ter Stegen has returned to the training ground and started training on the field.

The media pointed out that Ter Stegen is currently recovering well from the back surgery he underwent in Bordeaux on July 25. The Germany goalkeeper has suffered a long-term injury that is expected to last around four months and will therefore need at least another month of recovery time before he can be available to Hansi Flick.

The goalkeeper is undergoing rehabilitation treatment with extreme caution and is in no rush for success. Even if it's just light training, getting out on the turf is always a motivating factor for Ter Stegen - once he's fully fit, he'll be competing with Juan Garcia for a spot and perhaps consider other options. Ter Stegen is keen to stay active in order to become Germany's number one goalkeeper at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In other developments during the training session, Flick has welcomed back players who were absent from Wednesday’s training session. It was previously known that Rashford and Kubasi were allowed to miss due to personal matters, but "World Sports News" also learned that De Jong also did not participate in the training, while Conde returned from London on a private flight. In any case, these are all legitimately explained absences and have not disrupted the German coach's plans to prepare for Sunday's home game against Elche.

The most regrettable news on Wednesday was the confirmation of Pedri's injury. He will be absent at least until the end of the international break at the end of November. Lewandowski and Dani Olmo are still recovering at their own pace, and whether they can be selected for the squad depends on their physical reactions in the next few days.

It is not ruled out that Hansi Flick can use these two attackers against Elche, but the club will never take any risks. Barcelona has two more games before the international break, against Club Brugge and Celta Vigo.

Both players have returned from training with their respective national teams with injuries. If medical clearance is obtained, they may still be called up by Michal Probiez and Luis de la Fuente to participate in subsequent events for the Polish and Spanish national teams that are related to qualification for the World Cup.

It is worth noting that the young player Harvey Espat continues to train with the first team, so he is likely to be selected for the squad against Elche again.
