According to Beijing Youth Sports, Chinese referees Ma Ning and Fu Ming will participate in the law enforcement work of the Club World Cup.
Club World Cup kicks off this weekend, with the opening match against Cairo Nationals for Miami International. On the 12th local time, FIFA Adjudication Committee Chairman Corina introduced the preparations for the refereeship of this Club World Cup to the outside world. He emphasized that some innovative measures will be introduced into the law enforcement work of this Club World Cup.
This includes the "upgraded version" of the new semi-automatic offside recognition technology, with a total of 16 camera lenses connected to artificial intelligence technology introduced into a single game. When the offside player touches the ball, the system will send a notification to the sidelines and identify the offside flags played by the assistant referee in advance to reduce the review time of the VAR video assistant referee. At the same time, the large screen on the court will also show the referee going to the sideline camera to watch VAR playback.
The referees who enforce the law this year's Club World Cup will also wear ear-mounted body cameras. Corina explained that the original intention of introducing body camera equipment was to capture the live game through the referee's perspective, thereby providing a richer and clearer viewing experience for the audience.
Of course, the introduction of high technology will not break the principle of "people-oriented" for football game punishment. In other words, the pros and cons of the judgment work depends on the referees' own on-site performance. According to FIFA information, a total of 35 referees, 58 assistant referees and 24 video assistant referees from 41 member associations participated in the law enforcement of this cup.
FIFA also announced the information of the referees in the opening match. The referee is the 47-year-old Australian referee Fagani, who is recognized as the top referee of FIFA and AFC. A total of two Chinese referees participated in the law enforcement work of this Club World Cup, namely Ma Ning, the full-time fourth official, and Fu Ming, the VAR referee. Both of them entered the World Cup candidate referee lineup and began to launch a final impact on the World Cup law enforcement qualifications. This Club World Cup is an important examination venue for FIFA to inspect all World Cup candidates.
Earlier this week, Ma Ning, Fu Ming, and several other Chinese international referees Jin Jingyuan, Shen Yinhao, international assistant referees Zhou Fei and Zhang Cheng enforced the law in the last round of the 18th round of the round of 18 to beat Qatar. Since then, Ma Ning and Fu Ming have gone straight to the United States. Information shows that Ma Ning will be 46 years old on the opening day of the Club World Cup. However, judging from the opening game of 47-year-old Fagani's election for law enforcement, age is no longer an obstacle to international referees competing for law enforcement in international competitions.
