TA reporter Tony Jones reported that Grimes hopes to get a contract with an annual salary of $25 million.

It is reported that the Sixers have been in contact with Grimes and their team, although the final price may be expensive. But league sources revealed that Grimes, 25, is seeking a contract that averages $25 million a year.

Grimes has grown into a dynamic shooting guard who provides the Sixers with the ability to shoot outside, break through layups and put pressure on the rim after dribbling. The Sixers have previously officially offered Grimes a $8.7 million qualification offer, making the latter a restricted free agent.

Grimes played 28 games after being traded to the 76ers last season, averaging 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game, shooting percentage of 46.9%, three-pointers, 37.3%, and free throws of 75.2%.
