Shams: Horford has promised to sign a multi-year contract with the Warriors to serve as the Warriors starting center

According to ESPN reporter Shams, Al Horford has promised to sign a multi-year contract with the Warriors, and he will start his 19th NBA season as the Warriors' starting center.

In addition, as the Warriors are still negotiating with Jonathan Cumingga, Horford's contract will not be officially signed after the Kumingga incident is resolved.

38-year-old veteran Horford still performed well last season. He played in 60 regular season games, averaging 27.6 minutes per game, scoring 9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.9 blocks, shooting percentage of 42.3% and three-point shooting percentage of 36.3%; in 11 playoff games, averaging 31.6 minutes per game, scoring 8 points, 6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocks, shooting percentage of 47.2% and three-point shooting percentage of 40%.
