The tricky thing for LeBron is that other teams are not always in a better position (and even if it is, getting there is not as easy as it was years ago). While the Lakers are not yet the title contenders – as they showed in their first-round defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves – there is reason to believe that a full season with Doncic, James, Reeves and all other players staying in the team will lead to significant growth.

Plus LeBron can play another season with his son Brownie James and live in his favorite Los Angeles. He has various reasons to spend the season with a smile before deciding how he feels about his future basketball career a year later. Especially considering his extraordinary legendary status has long been for sure.
